On Wednesday, November 7, students at Woodland High School participated in a virtual interview with Angie Thomas, author of the award-winning novel, The Hate U Give. The event, sponsored by the media center, was attended by over 30 students. During the session, Ms. Thomas spoke to the students about her life growing up in Mississippi, her motivation for writing the novel, and upcoming projects. Students posed insightful questions to the author in a Q&A session. In the end, the students expressed their excitement about interacting with Ms. Thomas.
